Belka/Strelka Media has released the official trailer for The VelociPastor 2, the long-awaited sequel to the cult classic movie about a Catholic priest who transforms into a dinosaur and fights ninjas.
Starring Gregory James Cohan as Doug Jones/the VelociPastor and Alyssa Kempinski as his hooker/doctor/lawyer girlfriend Carol, the film takes the couple about ten years into the future as well as around the world, being set in Milan in the 1980s.
This time, the dinosaur (played by the beloved walkaround puppet/costume Boone) won’t be the only monster in a suit; you can get a glimpse of a couple of others in the trailer, which you can see below.

In The VelociPastor 2, “Doug (Gregory James Cohan) and Carol (Alyssa Kempinski) travel to the port city of Milan, where they have to solve a series of murders committed by a Sex Maniac Killer at an Italian Fertility Festival.”
Jesse Gouldsbury, a producer on the first film, directs the second. The VelociPastor filmmaker Brendan Steere co-wrote the sequel with Gouldsbury, but left the project after doing the film’s first editing pass.
The cast includes Gregory James Cohan, Alyssa Kempinski, Frankie Kevich, John DiMino, Sajda Waite, John Collin Barclay, Lily Talevski, Shahaub Roudbari, Dr. Dan Steere, and Jake Cannavale.
There is no set release date for The VelociPastor 2 yet. The movie is expected to debut in roadshow screenings, alongside screenings of The VelociPastor, in 2026.
